We Can’t End Hunger Without You

Thanks to you and the unwavering support of our tireless community we’ve been able to continue providing emergency food access for those who need it most.

For over forty years, whenever hunger has called, we’ve answered, adapting to the changing needs of the people we serve and never veering from our core mission: eliminating hunger.

From recessions to pandemics, we were always there, because you were always by our side. And we can’t thank you enough. But there’s more work to be done. Donate your time, food or funds today and help us end hunger in Toronto and beyond.

When Hunger Calls, We Answer. Always.

In 2026, we’re releasing the 36th annual Who’s Hungry Report to confront food insecurity so every Torontonian’s right to food is realized.

In 2024, we stepped up to serve over 3.75 million clients when the City of Toronto declared a food insecurity emergency.

In 2021, we joined Toronto’s Covid-19 response to establish food security.

In 2016, we successfully advocated for the introduction of the Ontario Child Benefit to help lift families out of poverty.

In 2001, we served more people than ever amid the economic slowdown and expanded to Etobicoke.

In 1992, we extended our services to tackle food insecurity in the wake of the recession.

In 1983, Sister Marie Tremblay founded Daily Bread Food Bank. Our mission to combat hunger was born.
